Chance The Rapper Raises $100,000 For Charity At Birthday Bash
For his 24th birthday party, Chi-town’s Chance The Rapper did something special. He held a sold out turn up at Studio Paris nightclub in the Windy City with famous friends Ludacris and T-Pain and Sesame Street‘s Big Bird.
Dubbed “Chance the Birthday,” the party raised $100,000 for his charity, SocialWorks, which aims to empower young people through the arts, education and civic engagement while fostering leadership, accessibility and positivity among youths throughout Chicago.
One highlight was a custom birthday cake made to look like a double-decker Harold’s Chicken bucket and a bottle of kiwi-strawberry Mistic — references Chance has dropped in his lyrics.
Sunday’s generosity comes after the rapper born Chancellor Bennett made headlines in March, when he criticized Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner and donated $1 million to Chicago Public Schools.
